As the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation continues to evolve, we want you to know that at PROSHRED® the safety and security of our customers and employees is our top priority.
- We are closely monitoring COVID-19 and following guidance and recommendations from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) along with the directions of state and local leadership.
- While the situation is dynamic, we do not anticipate service disruptions, and will notify businesses and individuals should there be any service changes. We will continue to carefully monitor the situation on a daily basis, and are committed to doing all we can to ensure the health and safety of our clients, communities and employees.
- We have a comprehensive plan in place should the virus cause any disruption to our ability to meet your scheduled expectation. We are proactively reinforcing proper hygiene habits with our employees.

To our Proshred® Community,
Proshred® recognizes that as business operators, employers and community members, we have an important role to play in managing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, while also meeting our responsibilities as an Essential Service. Proshred® has been very actively monitoring our processes to maintain the continued good health of our employees and to vigilantly enforce rules to help protect clients and those in the broader communities in which we live and operate.
We have taken steps to ease access of information for our stakeholders. Please go to www.proshred.com to visit Proshred®’s website, the COVID-19 virus button is located centrally on the home page.
Proshred® is confident that with the resolve and care of our committed team, together with your cooperation, we will successfully contain the spread of the virus.
Executive Commitment and Committee Participation
Proshred® has established a COVID-19 Response Committee (CRC) focused on monitoring this evolving pandemic. This committee has developed our Covid Response Plan as a guideline to help mitigate and manage the spread of the virus. This plan will be updated as required. Our CRC includes individuals from Proshred’s operations, human resources, and information technology teams, as well as the executive branch. Proshred®’s executive is fully engaged, meeting every second day and receiving daily updates from the regions.
We would highlight - a portion of the CRC works remotely, ensuring Proshred continues to have healthy individuals available throughout the duration of the outbreak.
Our Clients
Proshred® has instructed its staff to provide frequent and diligent cleaning of our containers, trucks and offices. Our uniforms are cleaned daily, and we have appropriate cleaning and sanitization supplies. We are also conducting our service to avoid human to human contact, for example we are not sharing pens and are always practicing appropriate social distancing.
We will continue to communicate with clients via our website www.proshred.com and by way of email and phone. Also, we have provided information related to proper hygiene practices and we encourage everyone to follow the protocols set-out by government health authorities.
Proshred® Employees
Proshred®’s team has been receiving ongoing updates related to Proshred®’s’s Covid Response Plan and its implementation. We are providing support to our Proshred® employees across the country, assisting them as they adjust their routines and service practices in the face of this challenge. We have limited the number of office staff in any given office and where possible, we have staff working remotely. We enforce self-isolation as directed by our health authorities for employees who have travelled, or have been in contact with a carrier, or who are symptomatic.
Looking Forward
Proshred®’s ability to operate efficiently, effectively, and with due care may well be impacted during the course of this pandemic, but Proshred® is prepared to make the necessary operational changes to provide our stakeholders the best service possible as this outbreak evolves.

Today, Tuesday, 1/10/23, at 2:00 PM, I went to Pro Shred located in Elmsford to drop off two bags of papers. I was not aware that they did not accept cash or Apple Pay.
I am a first time customer, so I did not know the payment method. Met with Lamont, who explained they did not accept cash, however, he did look into the Apple Pay. This is when I met with Steven, who, like Lamont, spoke in a friendly and professional manner. Steven explained an alternative way, which I’d gladly accepted. When contract a job I am very specific about wanting to be charged what I am quoted. Usually I can't even get past the quoting when other companies start saying they will do it by box and then start talking about bin size on the phone. Pro Shed and Tara who quoted the job, did not play any games with me. They quoted a box price and then honored the box price. Not only was Tara grear, but when the guys showed up to do the shredding, they were professional, friendly, confident, and hard-working. Everything went as planned straight through the payment. I would refer anyone to this company at any time, because I feel comfortable that they did a good job for me and would do a good job forgrade,
I needed a little more shredding done, a very small job, just a little residual from the big job at a later date, and they are handling that great as well. I spoke to the manager today about them coming out on Monday for the residual and told him how pleased I was with the service. Unfortunately I can't remember his name but he was so professional as well and I'm so glad that I deal with this company. Don't use anyone else use a class act. ProShred gets 5 starts in all categories.
I have limited need for shredding services--every year or two, I need to shred some old credit card slips and bank statements and such. It is always very easy to load 8-10 boxes of stuff in the back of my station wagon, drive it over to ProShred and then unload it into a bin, pay the fee and I'm on my way. Easy peasy. The staff is aways friendly and cheerful; they will do my shredding for the foreseeable future.
