As the year is coming to a close it is important to remember the effort we put into keeping our personal information private and secure. We say this as a reminder to not slack in these weeks of festivities as the year is drawn to a close, and to remember that these efforts need to continue into the New Year.

As a reminder, remember to stay vigilant with any kind of private information, and always err on the side of caution if you aren’t sure how to handle certain documents. Things like addresses, phone numbers, names of envelopes, and receipts should be taken care of. Once you have these papers gathered, take a look back at our article on what to do with them if you need a reminder, or if you’re new to our website (in which case welcome!) Remember that this doesn’t just apply to home owners and private residents, it’s also true for businesses.

Businesses and corporations have their own records and often those of clients to manage, but the solutions for them are the same as everyone. Shredding for all manner of industries is available of course, and another previous article talks in detail about that very topic if you’d like to learn more. Remember that no matter what you do we can help you to keep information secure.

As well, we highly suggest that you keep an eye out for new shred events in 2019! These are great ways to raise awareness and protect our neighborhoods. Events can be hosted and sponsored to help support a good cause while allowing folks to keep information protected. If you’re interested in hosting one then get in touch with us so we can work out the details.

At last we come to the end of the year. Have a happy and secure holiday season, and see you in the New Year!
